Who We Are

Risk & Crisis Management Latin America (RCML), was founded in Santiago, Chile, in 2011, by a group of Chilean and U.S. academics and businessmen who saw the need to spread in Chile the concept of anticipation and prevention of potential crises in companies and organizations.

Currently, companies face potential risks that may or may not be part of their core business. Society is more proactive and demanding in defending its rights, whether as collaborators of a company, citizens or taxpayers, as well as in crusades that represent its values. Even so, when reference is made to the defenselessness of the weakest against institutions that may violate citizens. In this context, society today has tools for the dissemination of massive and instantaneous information, with eloquent and sometimes not necessarily accurate evidence, which leave organizations exposed to situations alien to their work and faced with contingencies that require responses in real-time. The costs of not considering risks and crisis events in an organization and its leaders, whether private or public, can be very high.

In RCML we understand that you must have a trained organization to avoid unnecessary risks, but when these occur, have operational defense mechanisms, educated and trained to respond effectively and accurately.

Based on the thought leadership studies of professor and founding partner of RCML, Daniel Diermeier, today Provost (Rector) of the University of Chicago and author of "Reputation Rules: Strategies for Building Your Company's Most Valuable Asset" (McGraw-Hill 2011), RCML has adapted to the market-proven crisis prevention and management methodologies that have been successfully applied in multiple companies of different industries with great success in Chile
